The Norfolk School of Floristry
Welcome to The Norfolk School of Floristry. Located in the heart of Norfolk, our floristry school has been designed to inspire every level of florist, whether you are a complete beginner or have lots of experience and are keen to refresh and add to your floristry skills.
The Floristry School is based at Swanton Morley House within it’s newly renovated studios and 10 acres of glorious gardens. With a passion for seasonal and British grown flowers, the School uses, where possible, flowers and foliage grown at Swanton Morley House and from other local Norfolk flower growers.
We thrive on working with the latest trends in floristry and all our courses are filled with lots of advice and tips to give all participants lots of ideas and confidence to create further professional designs at home.
Our courses also include a walk around our gardens, often with a pair of floristy scissors in hand, to collect extra flowers and foliage to add to designs and for added inspiration on the vast variety of flora that can be used.
Our courses are fun and relaxed and participants enjoy delicious refreshments too and delightful lunches by The English Canapé Company are included on full day courses. This all makes for an enjoyable experience where new skills are learnt and new friends are made!
All our courses and workshops are taught by Penny Nicholas from Crown House Flowers. Penny is a qualified tutor and an independent florist who has studied, practised and taught floristy for over 15 years. With expertise which covers both traditional and contemporary design, Penny also has a flair for the unusual and naturally inspired design and encourages her students to look at beautiful blooms and their design possibilities with fresh eyes.
Whatever, your floristry abilities you will always receive a warm welcome at our Floristry School and who knows where a little creative direction could take you…
